Isis is a Senior VoIP Engineer and also has several entrepreneur ventures in technology and vending. In addition to her professional ventures, she volunteers her time mentoring student athletes.
Isis and Roshanda were destined to meet and share their lives together. Of course they didn't know it yet, but life for both of them would change one summer day in 2009. On this day, as Roshanda was returning to work from lunch, someone caught her eye.The person was walking briskly to get to the other side of the parking lot. As Roshanda stopped and watched her walk across the front of her vehicle, an overwhelming feeling came over her that this person was special. Her interest was certainly piqued, but the opportunity never presented itself and the person eventually disappeared inside the buildings., It was by faith and divine intervention that Roshanda would have a chance encounter with this person in New Orleans the following summer. But what she didn't know at the time, was that her name was Isis Mitchell. Fast-forward to July 2010—, Isis and her homegirl took a road trip to the Bayou for the Essence Music Fest and to celebrate her friend's birthday.
Roshanda also happened to be in New Orleans that weekend to attend the Essence Festival. She almost didn't make the trip after her friend cancelled at the last minute, but followed through because travel arrangements were already made, plus she was planning to meet up with other friends once she got there. After arriving in New Orleans, Isis and the birthday girl immediately hit Bourbon Street! After partying with the locals, they returned to the room—the energy was good, and more and more people were coming to the room to continue the party. Roshanda was one of those people.
When she walked through the door, Roshanda immediately captured Isis' attention, which led Isis to asking her name. When Roshanda responded, Isis, who is most certainly a comedian in her own right, said, "Ro'Wanda, like Hotel Rowanda?" To which Roshanda replied, "Oh, I have that movie." Roshanda didn't realize that Isis was the same person walking briskly through the courtyard in Atlanta in the summer of 2009. None the less, The two hit it off instantly and found out they had lots in common. They kept in touch once they returned home, but it was only after two dates that Roshanda realized that Isis was the one that had crossed her path on that day back in 2009. And that all this time they were just one building away from each other. And they've been making magic together ever since.
